Ua heartfelt appeal for support for the more than one thousand displaced people, the recovery of the evacuated buildings and a public plan to secure the real estate assets. These are the requests made by the authors of “Pozzuoli Resiste”, an initiative that has gathered the support of numerous organizations and prominent figures from the world of entertainment and culture.
The promoters of “Pozzuoli Resiste” ask that there be no “emptying” of the affected area and that the existing social fabric be safeguarded. Furthermore, they urge the maintenance of public health services and the implementation of a development plan for the Campi Flegrei. This plan must enhance the port, protect production facilities, support traditional activities and promote cultural tourism.
A crucial point of the appeal concerns the protection of archaeological sites: "Bradyseism must not become a reason to reduce the usability of archaeological sites". The appointment to support this cause is set for tomorrow, Tuesday 18 June, at 18 pm at the Phlegrea Social Book Bar. During the event it will be possible to sign the appeal, with the presence of numerous artists who will offer their contribution through live performances.
Artists who have already confirmed their participation include musicians Valerio Jovine, Dario Sansone, Andrea Tartaglia, Anthony Della Ragione and Pino Ruffo. Actors Adriano Falivene, Angelo Laurino, Pako Ioffredo, Fiorenzo Madonna, Arturo Muselli, Danilo Rovani, Ingrid Sansone and Francesco Vitiello will also participate.
Numerous associations have joined the initiative, including Aps/Ets L'Iniziativa, Pozzuoli Ora, Cantiere Flegreo En Art Cultural Association, Aps Altro Modo Flegreo, Malazè, Tuenda Association, maDrem Cultural Association, Jazz and Conversation Association, Lux in fabula Association, Spi Cgil Pozzuoli Union, Italian Left Pozzuoli, Europa Verde Pozzuoli, Aps Visit Campi Flegrei, Uisp zona flegrea, Dialogos Aps Ets, Pozzuoli Foto Fest and Phlaegraen Tales.
