At the registry office, Cotugno is the mother of the ras Antonio Giglio, thirty years old, indicated as the head of the group specialized in the supply and retail sale of large quantities of hashish and marijuana.

According to investigators, Antonio Giglio had established himself at the top of the Neapolitan drug dealing scene and beyond thanks to his “entrepreneurial” qualities. According to law enforcement, the group sold 24 hours a day, with continuous work shifts organized by Mariarca Cotugno.

The orders arrived by telephone from the customer on duty and, once the place and time for the delivery of the doses had been agreed upon, the various pushers in the service of the organization would complete the operation.

The investigative activities made it possible to ascertain how the organization had not reduced its activity even during the restrictive measures resulting from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, being able to count on a large group of pushers, flying supports and custodians of the narcotics.

A few months after her arrest, the woman was granted house arrest. The trial will begin on June 18th before the Court of Naples.
