Benevento 5 kicks off the 2024-25 season, its first in its history in Serie A futsal

Today marks the beginning of a new era for the Benevento 5, with the Giallorossi club preparing to make its historic debut in the Serie A of the Futsal Italian.

"For the Benevento 5, Serie A is not just a sporting achievement”, declared President Pellegrino Di Fede. “Our club comprises twelve teams, including women’s football and a football school, with a large family of 160 members of which we are extremely proud. After facing significant challenges in the past years, we now want to bring light and glory to the city of Benevento and the province of Sannio throughout Italy.”

Honorary President Mario Ferraro added: “Since I joined this facility last year, we have launched several social initiatives. It is a mission for us to prevent young people from taking the wrong paths”. He also highlighted the need to adapt the PalaTedeschi to Serie A standards, underlining the full support received from local institutions to achieve this goal.

Antonio Collarile, general manager, looked to the future: "We started from a humble neighborhood and now we represent not only Benevento, but the entire province. This is just the beginning: we want to stand out in Serie A and to do that we need everyone's support, including the new managers who joined us today."

During the event, the new members of the company organization chart were presented: Francesco Di Perna as vice president, Paolo Rocco as manager for referees and federal relations, and Luca Ricciardi of Sara 3 as brand ambassador of the club. Furthermore, an important agreement was announced with Pastificio Rummo, a world-wide excellence of Sannio, which will become the main sponsor of the club.

The Rummo brand will be visible on the players' shirts throughout the season and in the name of the youth football school, also contributing to social initiatives in the area. Finally, the agreements with Centro Relax and the Martelius company were confirmed, consolidating the commercial support that will allow Benevento 5 to confidently face its first season in the top division of Italian futsal.
