The excellent Camorra informer Teodoro De Rosa in a recent deposition before the magistrates of the DDA of Naples provided a series of interesting clarifications regarding the internal relationships of the Secondigliano Alliance.
His story is contained in the 480-page precautionary order signed by the investigating judge Federica Colucci of the eighth section of the Court of Naples and with which last month 12 people ended up in prison, namely the new leaders of the Bosti-Contini gang and among them Carmine Botta and the well-known Gennaro Manetta known as “Maradona”, the politician of the gang.
Teodoro De Rosa says: “… after Lo Russo and Sacco left the Alliance, not with wars but with a separation which in the following years meant that our relations were still good but certainly colder and more cautious, the alliance remained between Mallardo, Contini and Licciardi.
And the passage of some of the Licciardi from the Masseria to the territories of the allied clans, that is to Giugliano for Trambarulo and to Borgo S. Antonio for Cristiano and Ammendola, served to strengthen the alliance and the relative clans, guaranteeing also in those territories the presence of members of the Licciardi fire group.
This was because some clans were waging war on the Alliance, like the Mazzarellas, and it was necessary to strengthen it; but it must also be said (as far as I remember since certain discussions took place at my grandmother's house) that the three who left for the allied clans were also happy to do so because within the Licciardi clan friction was being created between the members of the clan belonging to the narrow family circle (like Gennaro and Pierino Licciardi, supported by their sisters) and their main area leaders like Cristiano Antonio, Trambarulo and Ammendola because according to the Licciardi family these important affiliates of theirs were not reacting adequately to the deaths that the Licciardi family had suffered. I would add that Tonino 'o Biondo, that is, Muscireno Antonio, was also involved in this transition.
The only loyalist who remained with the Licciardi family was Giovanni Cesarano, and Bombolone remained in San Pietro. And I add that the Moccias supported the Licciardi family from this period also because there was a relationship of kinship between Giovanni Cesarano's wife and the Moccias, I don't know the degree of kinship exactly. I know the woman, but I don't remember her name, perhaps Assunta”.
