The Carabinieri of the Gricignano d'Aversa Station, together with their colleagues from the Marcianise (CE) Forestry CC Unit, have reported four people at liberty for environmental violations.
The people reported, two of whom will also have to answer for receiving stolen goods, are accused of participating in unauthorized waste management activities.
The investigations began with an inspection carried out at a non-hazardous waste recovery plant in CarinaroThe Carabinieri discovered that on the plant's forecourt there were waste electrical and electronic equipment and exhausted lead batteries.
Upon entering the plant, the military found that some employees were transferring used lead batteries from a truck not approved for the transport of hazardous waste to another truck.
Furthermore, 400 kg of copper and steel were found for which there was no identification or transport document certifying their origin and destination.
The people reported will now have to answer for their actions to the judicial authorities.
