The overwhelming solidarity of Neapolitans continues. It's so strong that the management of the Santobono Hospital in Naples was forced to issue a statement explaining that the girls admitted after the collapse of the landing at the Vele Celeste Hospital in Scampia don't need clothes or anything else.
In the collection and distribution of basic necessities that began the day after the tragedy, someone thought it a good idea to bring pyjamas and clothes for the hospitalized children as well.
“It is hereby communicated that the seven little girls hospitalized following the collapse that occurred at the Vela Celeste in Sacmia, do not require any clothing or pyjamas.
The news recently spread is wrong. The foundation in collaboration with. the pediatric hospital, has provided and will continue to provide for the needs of the girls should they arise.
We sincerely thank all those who have contacted us, demonstrating their closeness and support to the families involved and to the hospital.
Thank you all for the interest and affection you surround us with. If we need help we will not hesitate to ask for it but always and only through our official channels.
Be wary of information that is circulating and that is not disclosed by us. This is the only official page of the Foundation and any communication will be published here and on the @ospedale_santobono page. Thanks again to everyone”.
