The Local Police of Naples has intensified its control activities on the territory, intervening in numerous sectors, including traffic, administrative, tourist, environmental and construction police.
The operations were mainly concentrated in the areas of Avvocata, Montesanto, Spanish Neighborhoods, Mercato-Pendino and Vomero. In via Salvator Rosa, a garage was the subject of an in-depth check that led to the seizure of seven motorcycles parked illegally on public land and without insurance.
The vehicles, positioned between the sidewalk and the road, obstructing pedestrian passage, were removed and placed in judicial custody. The owner of the garage was reported for driving with a suspended license and for contempt of a public official, after being caught driving a scooter even though his license was suspended for other previous violations.
In via Toledo, checks based on the highway code led to the issuing of 6 fines for driving without a license, lack of insurance coverage and failure to undergo MOT testing. In addition, 2 itinerant vendors were fined for operating in a sales-free zone.
In via Marina, three vehicles parked illegally on the sidewalk were towed away, while four other violations were reported to the drivers who arrived. In via Salvator Rosa, at the height of via Imbriani, a street vendor was fined because he had tied his metal sales stand to the municipal railing, illegally occupying public land.
Following the fine, the street vendor proceeded to remove the stall and restore the state of the premises. In the areas of Montesanto and via Ventaglieri, seven commercial activities were checked, revealing nine administrative irregularities and two administrative seizures of fruit and vegetables were carried out for a total of approximately 50 kilos of goods exposed to atmospheric agents and placed on the roadway.
In via Padre Ludovico da Casoria, in the Mercato Pendino neighborhood, a B&B was seized for serious building violations and administrative irregularities. The owner had illegally divided a land plot of about 40 square meters into two units, with internal heights that did not comply with current regulations.
The structure was seized and the owner reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for building violations. Finally, in Vomero, checks on the highway code resulted in 16 verbal proceedings and 2 forced removals were carried out.
