The Prefect of Caserta, Giuseppe Castaldo, has appointed, upon delegation from the Minister of the Interior, a commission of inquiry to verify whether or not there were attempts at infiltration or links to organized crime within the Caserta municipal administration.

The inspecting panel is composed of Maurizio Masciopinto, prefect, Laura Mattiucci, deputy prefect, and Gianfranco Mozzillo, major of the Guardia di Finanza. The visit will last three months, extendable once for another three months.
