Virgin Radio announced the passing of Massimo Cotto, one of the most beloved and recognizable voices of the station.
“Massimo Cotto left us this night,” we read in the moving message. “We want to be the ones Virgin Radio, his (second) home, to tell you, because Massimo was one of us. Massimo was a phenomenal host but also much more. His interviews are masterful. Extraordinary journalist, writer, author, theater actor, always with the desire to tell and amaze those in front of him or listening to him.”Massimo Cotto began his collaboration with Virgin Radio in 2012, bringing listeners the stories and follies of the great rock artists through the famous “pills” of ROCK BAZAR. Since 2016 he has become a regular presence on the mornings of the station, hosting the program ROCK AND TALK together with Dr. Feelgood (Maurizio Faulisi) and the Black Knight (Antonello Piroso).
“In all these years he has always greeted us with a smile and his unmistakable humor,” remember Virgin Radio. “We will never forget his jokes, his infinite passion for music and all forms of art.” The loss of Massimo Cotto is a hard blow for the entire Virgin community Radio and for his listeners.
The radio expresses its closeness to the host's family - his wife Chiara, his son Francesco and his mother Marisa - and to all those who loved and appreciated him. “Hi Massimo, have a good trip,” concludes the post, leaving a warm greeting to a great protagonist of the world of radio and art.
