“Father Gildi, through me, always organized group sex at my house, I organized them because otherwise he wouldn't have helped me with insurance, with food, he blackmailed me”.

The story of the young North African victim of sexual abuse first by Father Nicola Gildi and then by Father Domenico Silvestro, arrested today together with 4 other people responsible for the assault and the robbery of the cell phone containing images of the sexual encounters, leaves one speechless.
The young migrant continues: “The requests to organize these orgies occurred through messages that Father Gildi sent to my friend…omissis… These are things that happened about once a month.
The boys who came to these orgies were invited through dating apps like “Ciao Amigos” and “Tinder”. Father Gildi had sexual relations with boys who I then paid for him with sums of money, around 50 euros.
In these orgies I was also forced by Father Gildi to have sexual relations otherwise as I have already said he would no longer help me. My friend…omissis… was also forced to have sexual relations with Father Gildi under the blackmail that they would take away the help we were receiving”.
According to the investigating judge, the parish priests acted with "extraordinary unscrupulousness"
This alone would be enough to be horrified by such squalor. It is no coincidence that the investigating judge Caterina Anna Arpino writes, in the 47 pages of the precautionary order that “the extraordinary unscrupulousness cannot fail to be highlighted” carried out by the two friars arrested this morning by the Carabinieri of Afragola, in the province of Naples.
The investigating judge speaks of repeated conduct “for several months, in a work and religious assistance context, taking advantage of their superior position and the physical and psychological weakness of the victims”.
“Dearest Giuseppe, I thank you for your commitment to the friars. I am mortified because I never wanted it to come to this. I ask your forgiveness and assure you of my prayers for you and your family. A hug and a blessing.”
Instead, it is the text of the message included in the investigation files of the Carabinieri and the Prosecutor's Office of North Naples that the friar Nicola Gildi sent to the entrepreneur Giuseppe Castaldo, on April 8th, the day after the meeting during which, according to the investigators, the request was formulated aimed at 'solving' the problem of the cell phones on which there were compromising traces of sexual conduct.
Entrepreneur Castaldo: “I am devoted to Saint Anthony and the church”
A few minutes later Castaldo replies to the message: “Nicola, I am devoted to Saint Anthony and the Church but above all I was told that you are a good and kind person, on Sunday I had confirmation, I am pleased to have met you, see you soon thanks for the prayers for my family”.
In the investigation documents, in addition to the wiretaps, there is a letter from the lawyers of the two victims of the abuse addressed to the two religious men, acquired by the Carabinieri and the Prosecutor's Office of North Naples.
The lawyers requested payments for the work performed by the two victims in the monasteries, and the letter also referred to the sexual relations suffered in exchange for social and work assistance: the victims would be guaranteed paid work in every place of worship where the two friars were found to carry out their religious functions.
The letter would have triggered the reaction: Father Gildi asks for help from Castaldo, who sends Danilo Bottino and Biagio Cirillo, last April 26, to take possession of the victims' cell phones.
The two broke down the door of the house and, armed with a baseball bat (“give it to me or I'll smash your face in, I'll kill you”), tried to get the cell phones to be handed over, an objective they failed to achieve due to the reaction of the two men they threatened, one of whom was injured.
Bottino, to prevent the police from tracing him, also falsely reported the theft of his car to the Carabinieri station in Marigliano, which he used to go to the homes of the victims of the attack.
Also in prison is Antonio Di Maso, a 43-year-old entrepreneur, accused of having acted as an intermediary between the instigator friar and the organizer of the robbery, who is said to be Giuseppe Castaldo, 52, like Di Maso an entrepreneur from Afragola, but, according to investigators, in contact with organized crime in Marigliano.
