Casavatore. Mayor on the verge of a no-confidence vote climbs the Aventine with his loyalists: even the Democratic Party Councilor Vincenzo Palladino says no to the mayor after his reinstatement.
A truly complex situation for Luigi Maglione who, after having suffered the loss of the M5S, must deal with the party with the relative majority which, through a document signed by the democratic councilors Tommaso D'Auria, Giuseppe De Rosa, Maria Marino and Fabio Machiella, declared that they were no longer an integral part of the majority.
The mayor must also take into account the well-known controversy of the now ex-assessor Palladino with responsibilities for Sport, Local Police, Sports Construction and Personnel who has retraced years of battles and things achieved but also of the facts that have determined the definitive break.
“The political-administrative process shared together with the local Section of the Democratic Party, with the fellow Assessors who succeeded one another over time, and with the Municipal Councilors and Officials of the Institution over the last three years with great passion, sacrifices and dedication, has lifted up a country that was going through a difficult time, compared to the glories of the past.
I worked to improve the De Curtis gym, the only open sports facility in the area, with the installation of new furnishings, including retractable basketball hoops, soccer goals and a new field marking, to allow for multidisciplinary use and, last but not least, the state in which we found the tensile structure adjacent to Petrucci Park, where roller skating has been practiced for years.
Having identified a call for tenders from the Metropolitan City, in which we participated by submitting the renovation project for the entire complex, and thanks also to a small participation from the Municipality, the tensile structure will soon be completely renovated, with the replacement of the roofing sheet, the resurfacing of the flooring in accordance with the Law and with a new energy-saving lighting system, in addition to other improvement interventions, which will ensure that the associations can carry out their activities safely for many years.
The five-a-side football pitch on Viale delle Industrie, which had never been used before, was made available thanks to the installation of the missing furniture and the drafting of the plans required by law, culminating in the first operating licence for sports facilities in the Municipality of Casavatore.
After the five-a-side football pitch – Palladino continued in the long document – , work was carried out to adapt the gymnasium of the school in Via San Pietro, which thus also became usable again and equipped with a new volleyball net in compliance with the law”.
"The institution has been equipped with a new organizational structure - explains the former councilor -, with the establishment of new areas and a different and more functional location of employees. At the same time as the new structure, new hirings have been planned based on the needs of the institution, which have given new life to the Municipality of Casavatore, which in the last three years has recruited 15 staff members, through the procedures of scrolling the rankings of other institutions.
Furthermore, the mobility procedures already started for the recruitment of 2 social workers to be drawn from the solidarity fund should not be overlooked. This activity was carried out by administering a daily report for each individual employee, a choice shared by you together with the Councilor for the Budget, thanks to which it was possible to actually understand who does what, and above all which areas are suffering.
In order to increase the parking possibilities, new parking spaces have been created on Viale Michelangelo. Thanks to funds raised by the Prefecture, pink parking spaces have been established for the first time in the municipal area, to protect pregnant women and new mothers, so as to make parking easy near schools and pharmacies”.
“In any case – he concluded – I am honoured to have represented my territory over the last three years, and therefore I thank you for the trust you have placed in me, for the wonderful experience I have had, despite the ups and downs that have characterised it, as often happens in life, but, above all, for the opportunity you have given me to be able to give my contribution to Casavatore, which I hope can continue the path of renewal it has undertaken and which is necessary for the improvement of every community”.
