Attempted theft failed last night at a BCC ATM in Flumeri, in the province of Avellino.
The thieves attempted to force their way into the ATM of the branch located in Piazza Mercato, but were forced to flee upon the arrival of a patrol of the Carabinieri from the Ariano Irpino Company, who foiled the attempt.
The criminals, probably alerted by accomplices acting as lookouts, disappeared in a car before the military could intervene.
