“While waiting for the arrival of the new trains and infrastructure investments, all possible measures have been adopted to ensure continuity of service, in compliance with safety standards in this transitional period”.
This is the position that the Ente Autonomo Volturno expressed today in the Prefecture to the user associations convened to discuss the disruptions that are occurring on the Vesuvian lines.
“The current operating model on the line Napoli-Torre Annunziata-Sorrento – explains Eav in a note – shared with all the mayors in the presence of the prefect for reasons of public order, raised the level of punctuality recorded in the second half of 2023 and in the first quarter of 2024.
For the Naples-Baiano line, the initial difficulties that occurred upon reopening have been overcome. Eav, in any case, even in the face of a huge economic effort, has maintained the various additional bus services that connect Baiano, Nola and Pomigliano to the Campania capital.
At the same time, a monitoring activity of the service and attendance has been started, useful for defining any sustainable corrective actions”. In the same press release, Eav “reiterates its full availability to listen to the requests of travellers through the continuous dialogue established with the mayors of the municipalities served and the most representative trade associations”.
