The video of the stabbing, which took place two years ago, by Gennaro Musella, nephew of Maria Licciardi , and of his father who rushed to his aid against an opponent at the end of a match soccer in Chiaiano.
The video released on the web by the Green Party MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli is attached to the new arrest warrant that has hit the young man for violating house arrest.
“It is absurd that he was not already in prison,” said the Green MP. The young man – Gennaro Musella, nephew of the Camorra godmother Maria Licciardi, even if organized crime has nothing to do with this matter – had been the protagonist of a double stabbing.
During a soccer game, after undergoing a sliding tackle, he pulled out a blade he was hiding in his shorts and attacked his opponents. From the stands his father shouted “Kill them, kill them”.
Musella had been convicted in the first instance and was under house arrest, after having compensated the victims and shown repentance. A few days ago he escaped from house arrest and was arrested.
“It is absurd,” says Borrelli, “that this person was not already in prison. Grandchild of a Camorra boss, risked killing two people over a football match.
There really are no extenuating circumstances for such behavior. Instead, in the face of compensation and false repentance, here comes a paltry sentence. Escaping from house arrest shows that this person has absolutely not understood the harm he has done and cannot live freely in a civil society.
The risk is that the wrong message is sent, the victims pay twice and the executioners are free to continue to cause damage. Now he should serve his sentence behind bars".
