Relax and convenience: discover the rooms by the hour in Milan

ON THE SAME TOPIC

There are still many prejudices about the concept of hourly hotels, and it could not be otherwise given that literature, cinema and real life stories associate this way of enjoying it with romantic escapades, even better if extramarital.

The reality is that the concept of hourly hotels has evolved and has constituted a real revolution for modern accommodation facilities, which are increasingly converting to “Day Use”.

ADVERTISING

What is meant by Day Use?

The formula day use replaces the nights parameter to calculate accommodation rates with the hours parameter. In most hotel by the hour in Milan This formula allows you to book a room in the time slot that goes from 10 to 18, when the guests in charge have no need to stay for the night and therefore just want to enjoy the hotel services during the day slot. In its simplicity, the Day Use formula is revolutionary, because it is convenient for everyone: guests who book a room by the hour enjoy much lower rates than traditional bookings (you can save up to 50%), while hoteliers open their doors to a greater number of customers and therefore increase their turnover. Using the room by the hour, obviously, allows guests to enjoy all the services offered by the hotel in that specific time slot: from the restaurant to the spa, passing through swimming pools, gyms and much more.

What types of guests can benefit from Day Use?

Even though the mind constantly goes to scenes of passionate when it comes to hourly rooms, the reality is that there are several situations in which being able to stay for a few hours in a hotel during the day becomes precious. Below are some specific cases.

Stopovers and connections

Who travels constantly for (but also those who do it occasionally) know how unnerving it can be to wait for a train connection at the station, or worse still, the stopover between one flight and another. Spending several hours stuck in an uncomfortable chair in an airport is not the best thing in life, so being able to stay in a hotel for a few hours can transform the wait from unnerving to very relaxing.

Business

A worker on a business trip may have different needs, whether it's a lunch break or the need for a base for a call: renting a room for a few hours and using a hotel restaurant allows you to combine all these needs in one place.

Hit and run vacation

On what were once called “day trips” you can choose to have lunch at the hotel restaurant, sunbathe by the accommodation pool or even just lie down for a few hours for a restorative nap before the return journey: even in this case a formula like Day Use is perfect.

Love

The fact that hourly rooms have a bad reputation that needs to be eradicated does not mean that couples looking for an alcove are barred from the Day Use formula. Those who need a room to indulge in pampering and passion with the person they love are still an important target for those who rent rooms by the hour.

Rooms always “full” with Day Use

On average, in a hotel, check-in can be done starting from 12 and check-out shortly before 11. In reality, however, in most cases guests (especially those driven by work needs) arrive in the late afternoon and leave early in the morning. This trend therefore leads to rooms being empty and unused in a time slot that goes from 10 to 18. In scenarios like this, therefore, the Day Use formula fits perfectly and allows the different types of guests not to "overlap". If for holiday facilities the hourly room formula does not always take off, given that guests rent the rooms for several days, for "business hotels", i.e. those that mainly host workers on business, it is the so-called squaring of the circle.
