From 19 October at midnight until 21 October 2024 at 06:50, the railway traffic between Pontecagnano e Battipaglia will undergo major changes due to scheduled maintenance work by Italian Railway Network (FS Group) on the line Naples Central – Salerno – Battipaglia – Sapri – CosenzaThe changes will affect numerous routes, with cancellations, route limitations e timetable changes for regional and long-distance trains.
Specifically, the regional trains of the lines Naples Central – Cosenza, Caserta – Battipaglia, Central Power – Salerno e Taranto – Naples Central will be subject to cancellations or limitations between stations Salerno/Pontecagnano e Battipaglia. To ensure the connection, a bus replacement service between these stations, with stops at Salerno, Pontecagnano, Battipaglia and in some cases, Central Power. However, there may be fewer seats available on buses than there are on trains, and travel times may increase due to road traffic. It is therefore advisable to consider rescheduling your journey.
Long-distance trains will also be affected: InterCity trains e InterCityNotte of relationships Syracuse/Palermo/Reggio Calabria – Rome Termini/Milan e Taranto – Rome Termini they will suffer cancellations or changes between stations Salerno e Battipaglia/Sapri. Also Frecciarossa trains e Frecciargento of the routes Reggio Calabria/Taranto/Battipaglia – Milan/Turin/Venice e Sibari – Bolzano will undergo changes, with cancellations between Salerno e Battipaglia or route restrictions up to Central Naples o Salerno.
