The Regional Observatory on Waste Management has certified the data on separate waste collection in Campania for the year 2023. The percentage continues to increase, reaching 56,85%, up more than one point compared to 2022 (+1,22%), when 55,63% was recorded.
«The positive trend of recent years is consolidating, although the plant and infrastructure completion program is still ongoing», observes the president of the ORGR, Senator Enzo De Luca.
In detail, 1.456.487.583 kilograms of sorted waste, equal to 10.088.072 more than the previous year. Overall, 2.587.925.482 kilograms were produced in Campania, equal to 463 per capita. In 2023, the non-differentiated portion amounts to 1.123.663.692 kilograms.
