This morning, the State Police arrested a 37-year-old Tunisian national, already known for specific precedents, for possession and dealing of narcotics, as well as for resisting a public official.
The officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, engaged in the usual checks in the area, noticed an individual sitting on a bench in Capuano Square who, in exchange for a banknote, passed an object to another person. The police intervened quickly to block the illegal action, stopping the suspect, who resisted before being immobilized.
During the search, 17 packages containing cocaine for a total weight of about 2,5 grams were found, hidden in a cigarette pack, and 90 euros in cash. The buyer, however, was fined for possession of drugs intended for personal use, having with him the dose just purchased.
