Checks in Naples, November 7, 2024 – The Local Police of Naples has implemented a series of interventions aimed at combating illegality on the streets of the city. The Git operational unit carried out checks on motorcyclists in the areas of Piazza Carlo III, Via Medina, Piazza Matteotti and in the areas of Soccavo and Fuorigrotta.
The officers issued 108 administrative fines, 86 of which were for illegal parking, and proceeded to seize or administratively detain 10 vehicles. In addition, the officers of the Soccavo Operational Unit seized a kiosk built without the proper permit and reported the person responsible to the Judicial Authority. The Operational Unit Fuorigrotta, instead, carried out checks that led to the issuing of 1 fine for lack of a supply license, 1 fine for lack of a health SCIA, 1 fine for noise impact and 2 fines at a road construction site.
Finally, the Local Police personnel of the Secondigliano, Git and Abandoned Vehicles Operating Units, in collaboration with the Campania Crime Prevention Department and the officers of the Nibbio section, carried out checks in the Berlingieri district and the surrounding streets. On this occasion, 157 people were checked, of which 40 with criminal records, and 122 vehicles, of which 17 were subject to administrative detention or seizure. In addition, 43 traffic violations were issued, of which 3 for driving without a license, 8 for lack of insurance and 4 for failure to have a vehicle inspected. Finally, 5 vehicles were seized as they were considered to be abandoned, and 3 people were reported to the Judicial Authority, of which 2 for repeated driving without a license and 1 for resisting a public official and causing injury.
