On Sunday, December 1st at 11:30 am, the Chiesa dei Girolamini will host a performance of Niccolò Jommelli's Mass in D major, on the 250th anniversary of his death. This event will conclude the festival with a special tribute to one of the leading composers of the Neapolitan School of Music. Performers include Maria Grazia Schiavo, Candida Guida, Raffaele Abete and Francesco Auriemma, accompanied by the Vocalia Choir and the Discantus Orchestra conducted by Maestro Luigi Grima. The concert will also feature the performance of Veni Creator Spiritus, previously performed by Maestro Riccardo Muti. Concluding a year of celebrations in honor of Jommelli, the Discantus Association offers a unique opportunity to experience the sacred musical tradition in a context of historical and spiritual depth.
