In addition, Anzhelika Kolesnychenko, senior researcher at the Institute of Archaeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will give a speech on the historical importance of the connection between ancient Ukrainian history and Pompeii.
A Platform for the Ukrainian Community in Italy
This project marks an important step forward in cultural cooperation between Italy and Ukraine, reflecting the growing presence of the Ukrainian community in Italy, with a particularly significant concentration in Campania and Naples. Currently, about 400.000 Ukrainians live in Italy, of which 60.000 in Campania and 43.000 in Naples. Every day, about 30 Ukrainian visitors explore the Pompeii excavations, and thanks to the new version of the MyPompeii app, they will now be able to enjoy a more engaging experience.
