On January 6, 2025, at 18.00:110 p.m., the 'Sala Assoli' in Naples will be the scene of an event that promises to unite tradition and innovation: it is the “Tombolata Show” by Emilio Massa. Located in Vico Lungo Teatro Nuovo XNUMX, the event will offer a reinterpretation of the traditional game of tombola, enriched with modern elements and deep Neapolitan cultural roots.
An immersive cultural experience
The “Tombolata Show” will not be simply a game, but an experience that mixes folk tales and dialect traditions, designed to involve the public in entertainment that goes beyond simple pastime. The event emphasizes the importance of cultural heritage, enriching the tombola with stories and wisdom, focusing attention on the value of family traditions. The interpreter, an elderly lady, will guide the public through a journey through numbers and personal stories, thanks to the ironic and creative writing of Emilio Massa.
An invitation to rediscover your roots
Emilio Massa, creator and performer, highlights how tombola goes beyond the simple playful spirit: “Tombola is not just a game, but an act of cultural resistance,” he says. With this show, the intent is to celebrate a tradition that has been passed down through the generations, intertwining nostalgia and joy, rediscovering the linguistic and emotional roots of the Neapolitan community.
Christmas in Naples is a collective ritual that is renewed annually, intertwining numbers and stories around a common table. For those interested, tickets for the “Tombolata Show” are available at a price of €12,00, with a special Friends & Family option for 4 people at a cost of €40. Information and reservations can be made by calling 345 467 9142 or by sending an email to assoli@casadelcontemporaneo.it.

The Tombolata Show event seems interesting but I don't know if the format is too modern for the Neapolitan tradition. I hope it works and that people participate, maybe it will be fun for young people too.
