@lucaabete, @vladimir_luxuria are trying to understand how a pastor who claims to be able to “cure” homosexuality is promoting a deeply flawed and damaging view of reality.
Homosexuality is not a disease or a disorder that needs to be “cured” or changed. Numerous international medical and psychological organizations, including the World Health Organization and the American Psychological Association, recognize that sexual orientation is a natural and intrinsic component of human identity.
Theories and practices that aim to change a person’s sexual orientation, often called conversion therapy, have been widely debunked and condemned for their negative impact on the mental health and well-being of the individuals involved. Not only do these approaches lack scientific basis, they can also cause severe emotional trauma, depression, and anxiety.
It is essential to promote acceptance and respect for all forms of sexual orientation, recognizing diversity as an enrichment rather than a threat. It is unacceptable that authority figures, such as religious leaders, use their position to perpetuate prejudice and discrimination against the LGBTQ+ community. We must work together to create an inclusive society, where every individual can live authentically without fear of judgment or repression.
We categorically reject the idea that homosexuality can or should be “cured.” Instead, we must advocate for the equal rights, dignity and well-being of every person, regardless of their sexual orientation.

this is a very sensitive topic, I don't understand how there can be people who believe that homosexuality is a disease. People should be accepted for who they are, without prejudice or attempts at 'cure'.
I read the article and it seems to me that there are different points of view on this issue. It is important to discuss what homosexuality really is and whether it needs to be changed. Many people think it is a disease, but others say it is not. We need to find a way to understand better.
