Kikì has announced the release of her new single entitled “'Sta lengua”, available from next Friday, December 20th thanks to the Futura Dischi label. This song, open to pre-save reservations, represents the third chapter of a musical trilogy that also includes the songs “Le nuvole diranno di no” and “Quando torno”. These songs will introduce the artist's next EP.
The Concept of Home and Language
“'Sta lengua” is a song that intertwines concepts of home and language, using a metaphor to express loneliness and the difficulty of finding one’s place in the world. Kikì emphasizes the importance of dialect as a deep connection to one’s roots, acting as a bridge to a broader cultural connection.
Personal Experiences and Journeys
Written and produced together with Giuliano Vozella, the track tells the stories of many young people who move away from their native places in search of new opportunities. The artist himself has lived an existence in constant movement since he was 18, strengthening his bond with his homeland, despite the complications and conflicting feelings he often experiences.
New Musical Horizons
Kikì, known for his collaborations with musicians such as Ghemon and Mistaman and known in the music scene as Sup Nasa, embarks on a new artistic path. Leaving behind the influences of black music and electronics, he explores new sounds and themes, taking inspiration from artists such as Dijon and Frank Ocean. This new musical direction will culminate in his second studio project.

It's interesting that Kikì decided to explore new sounds and themes, but I'm not sure if this trilogy is really necessary. Maybe it would be better to focus on stronger singles instead of a full EP.
I agree with Damiana, many times large projects risk losing the message. But who knows, maybe Kikì will be able to surprise everyone with this new work.
