Naples.
The Christmas tree was lit this afternoon in Piazza Garibaldi, Napoli. Set up by the Municipal Administration, in agreement between the Councillor for Tourism and Productive Activities Teresa Armato and the presidents of the Municipality second and fourth, the tree is 15 meters high and visible from every corner of the square and from Corso Umberto.A symbolic way to beautify the area and give a welcome message to all visitors who will arrive in Naples during the next few weeks, especially through the Central Station, one of the main entrances to the city, which in the past was not adequately cared for.
The official lighting, attended by the city councilor for Green and Health, Vincenzo Santagada, symbolically represented the start of the Christmas holidays, also transforming Piazza Garibaldi into one of the brightest areas of the city, because, in addition to the tree, the entire neighborhood will breathe the Christmas atmosphere thanks to the lights designed to extend the festive atmosphere to the Pendino, Mercato, San Lorenzo and Vicaria neighborhoods.
The initiative is located in an area that is the subject of an innovative public-private co-management project launched last October and called “La Bella Piazza”.
