A slight one shock seismic shock hit the province of Salerno in the early hours of the morning.
The earthquake, of magnitude 2.5, was located in the area of the Gulf of Policastro, on the border between the provinces of Salerno and Potenza.ADVERTISING
The seismic phenomenon occurred at 4:32 local time on Sunday, December 22. According to data recorded by seismographs at the INGV seismic room in Rome, the event had geographic coordinates of 39.8820 latitude and 15.4980 longitude, with a depth of 282 km.
The earthquake did not cause damage to people or things, given its low magnitude and considerable depth. The civil protection will continue to monitor the situation, but at the moment there are no particular concerns.
