Nocera Inferiore is gripped by an iron grip against violence. Six young people, responsible for a brawl that broke out last October in the heart of the city's nightlife, in via Giovanni XXIII, have been hit by a three-year Daspo Urbano. The measure, issued by the Police Chief of Salerno Giancarlo Conticchio, prohibits the boys from frequenting public places and from staying in the surrounding areas for a long period.
Video surveillance footage was crucial in identifying those responsible for the violent brawl, during which stools and other objects were thrown. An episode that shocked the community and prompted law enforcement to act decisively.
For two of the young people involved, this is a double measure: they had already been involved in a fight in September and had received an oral warning.
“These preventive measures – declared the Police Chief – are essential to guarantee the safety of citizens and to counteract phenomena of violence that put public tranquility at risk”. The Urban Daspo represents an effective tool to remove dangerous individuals from meeting places and to prevent new episodes of violence.
