Italian Citizen Found Dead in Tunisia

A 73 year old man, originally from Marche and resident in Italy, was attacked while he was in his holiday home in a North African country.

According to information released to international news agencies by the Tunisian police, a car and a mobile phone were stolen from the man. The victim, known for having been a Latin and Greek professor, is being assisted by the authorities.

Investigations ongoing

The circumstances surrounding the attack remain unclear. Foreign Ministry sources report that the embassy in Tunis, in collaboration with the Farnesina, is dealing with the case. Assistance has been guaranteed to the family of the citizen involved in the accident.
