Montesarchio – He was arrested and taken to prison on charges of sexually abusing his niece and his second wife's daughters, since they were minors.
It is the precautionary epilogue of an investigation by the postal police of Benevento and of the PG section at the Police Prosecutor's Office against a 62-year-old from Montesarchio, initiated after the complaint of his young niece, who, with the assistance of a psychologist, had recounted the violence she had suffered, from the age of 7 to 13, at the hands of her uncle who, on the occasions in which he stayed to sleep at her house, had forced her during the night to perform sexual acts of various kinds.
A fate that also befell the daughter of the second wife, with abuses that began when she was only eight years old and continued even when she had reached the age of majority, until autumn 2023. During the investigation, the electronic devices available to the suspect were searched and subsequently analyzed by computer: a work that would have revealed elements that would confirm the reported episodes of sexual violence.
Hence the request for custody in prison accepted by the investigating judge, “in light of the seriousness of the crime committed and the personality of the suspect, the unscrupulousness demonstrated and the methods of action, also taking into account the close family relationship with the victims”.
