Frignano, warehouse discovered with 25 pallets of stolen batteries: 53-year-old in trouble

Frignano – A warehouse used as a storage facility for stolen goods was discovered by the Carabinieri in Frignano, where 25 pallets containing 596 car and heavy vehicle batteries were found.

The material, with an estimated value of around 80.000 euros, was stolen over the weekend between 18 and 20 January from a FIB SPA warehouse in Monterubbiano, in the province of Fermo.

During the theft, the criminals had forced the entrance lock and used a pallet truck present on site to load the pallets onto some trucks, then disappearing. The batteries, still packaged and divided by type, were found intact inside the warehouse, immediately fueling the suspicions of the military of the local station.

The tenant of the warehouse, a 53-year-old from Castel Volturno, was reported at large on charges of receiving stolen goods. The goods will be returned to their rightful owner. The investigations of police they continue to identify any accomplices and reconstruct the route of the stolen goods.
