The Bianca d'Aponte Auditorium in Aversa will host a concert on Sunday 16 February at 18:30 pm dedicated to the memory of the late singer-songwriter Bianca d'Aponte and the first artistic director of the Award, Fausto Mesolella.
The special event will feature Grazia Di Michele and Eleonora Bianchini with the show “Madre Terra”, a spiritual tribute to life and the Earth.
Bianca d'Aponte Award
The call for the 21st edition of the “Bianca d'Aponte Award – Città di Aversa”, dedicated to emerging singer-songwriters, is now open. Registration is open and free, with the possibility of submitting works of any musical genre. The deadline for participation is set for April 18, 2025. 2025 Edition Program
The finals of the competition will be held at the Teatro Cimarosa in Aversa on October 24 and 25. The artistic direction will be curated by Ferruccio Spinetti, and will be preceded on October 23 by a masterclass on songwriting, open to all interested parties. The participants will be selected by a Guarantee Committee composed of experts in the music sector.
Prizes and Awards
The winner of the overall prize will receive a scholarship of €1.000, while the Fausto Mesolella Critics' Prize, dedicated to the memory of the artistic director, will award €800. Additional awards include plaques for the best text, music and interpretation, and other prizes awarded by collaborators of the d'Aponte prize. The 2024 edition saw Valentina Lupi triumph, with awards also for Irene Di Brino. During the event, the finalists will be able to compete with representatives of Italian music.
