Camorra war in Castellammare the Anti-Mafia Prosecutor's Office of Naples has requested the referral to trial of the bosses Sergio Mosca and Vincenzo D'Alessandro, considered among other things to be the instigators of the murder of the PD municipal councilor of Castellammare di Stabia, Luigi Tommasino, which occurred on February 3, 2009.
The trial underway before GUP Federica De Bellis has eight people accused of five murders and two attempted murders. The PM Giuseppe Cimmarotta has asked the judge for a trial with the abbreviated procedure, for other charges, against the three "pentiti" Salvatore Belviso, Raffaele Polito and Renato Knight, also involved in the murder of Tommasino with Catello Romano (for these four the sentences are definitive).
The proceedings are evaluating the position of eight defendants, on trial, on various counts, for five murders and two attempted murders. The prosecutor Cimmarotta has requested 14 years in prison for Salvatore Belviso, 6 years for Raffaele Polito and 12 years for Renato Cavaliere. A life sentence has been requested for Paolo Carolei, Antonio Lucchese, and Roman Castle.
Carolei, who is not involved in the Tommasino murder, is also responsible, as the instigator, for the death of an innocent victim of the Camorra: Federico Donnarumma, one of the two people killed on 28 October 2008 in Gragnano.
The real target of the ambush was Carmine D'Antuono and Donnarumma was hit by Romano because he was in D'Antuono's company. The next hearings, scheduled for March 10 and 17, will include, among other things, the defense discussions of the defendants and, on the 17th, probably also the sentence.

It's an article that makes you think about how justice can sometimes be slow, but I hope that there will finally be some results. Trials like these are important to stop violence in our society. The Camorra must not win.
