Protesters denounce growing social exclusion in the heart of the tourism and ask for concrete answers from the municipal administration. “The declarations in the newspapers are not enough – say the organizers of the protest –. We say no to evictions without real housing solutions. We ask the mayor to set up a discussion table to address our situation and that of dozens of families in difficulty”.

They ask for a meeting with the mayor

At the heart of the protest is the demand for more inclusive housing policies. “We are people who, if forced to leave their homes, would have no chance of finding housing in an increasingly inaccessible city,” protesters denounce. “We are fighting for a Naples that defends its inhabitants, with more equality and less injustice.”

The initiative is part of a context of growing social tension, with the issue of housing increasingly central to public debate in the city.
