During the match between Roma and Napoli at the Olimpico, the Curva Sud displayed a banner with the words: “Solidarity with the population of Roccaraso”, in red letters on a white background.
The message refers to the inconvenience experienced last Sunday in the Abruzzo town, stormed by thousands of visitors, most of them coming from the Campania region, generating tensions between the inhabitants and the mayor, who had even called for the intervention of the army.
Other banners also appeared during the match, including “Free Roccaraso” and, in the Tiber grandstand, “Roccaraso, hold your nose”. The reference is always to the large influx of Neapolitan tourists that occurred in recent days in the Abruzzo ski resort.
