The Nola Prosecutor's Office has not yet set a date for the interrogation of Vincenzo Loffredo, father of little Giulia Loffredo, the nine-month-old baby who died during the night between February 15 and 16, after being attacked by the family pitbull, Tyson, in their home in Acerra.
Article Key Points
The lawyer announced this Loffredo, Luigi Montano, specifying that his client "will not be heard at this stage of the investigations".
Montano went to the Prosecutor's Office today to request the interrogation requested last week, in order to clarify the issue relating to the cleaning of the apartment where the tragedy took place. According to what Loffredo himself told his lawyer, some relatives had carried out the cleaning before the seals were placed.
In the meantime, the Prosecutor's Office has appointed an analyst and a technical consultant to examine the data present on Loffredo's cell phone, seized in recent days. "My client will be questioned, but not now, not at this stage," Montano reiterated.
At the moment, therefore, the public prosecutor will not listen to the version of the man, investigated for manslaughter for failure to supervise and guard the dog. A clearer picture is probably expected from the results of the surveys carried out in the apartment by the forensic team, which lasted over eight hours, and from the analysis of the samples taken at home, on the body of the little girl and on the two dogs of the Loffredo family.
The doubts of the keepers of the kennel where Tyson was taken
Yesterday afternoon, a further element of doubt emerged, raised several times by the media. One of the veterinarians who took charge of the two dogs, currently kept in a kennel, declared to the microphones of the television program "Mattino 4" that "no blood stains were found on the two animals" and that "the only suspicious evidence, an area stained with blood, was found on the head of the mongrel".

I read the article and it seems to me that there are many unknowns in this story. It is not clear what really happened and the statements of the veterinarians are not very convincing. It would be important to have more information on the case.
