Avellino – The Avellino Ovest Highway Police seized over 190 kilograms of typical Indian sweets along the A16 Naples-Canosa highway. The goods, transported in a van together with fruit and vegetables, were found to be untraceable and not stored at a suitable temperature to guarantee food safety.
The agents, in collaboration with the Food Prevention Service of theASL of Avellino, ascertained that the sweets came from a company based in the province of Naples. Two Indian citizens were traveling on board the vehicle.
In addition to the seizure of the goods, the van was placed under seizure for further investigations

The news of the confiscated sweets makes me think that it is important to control food safety. However, I wonder how it is possible that such large goods can travel without traceability. We need to do more checks.
I agree with Valentini, but perhaps the authorities should also better inform companies about security requirements. It's strange that no one noticed this before now.
