Salerno – “The Award received in Dubai gives us new energy to continue the path undertaken in the wedding sector. Receiving recognition for accessibility and inclusiveness fills us with pride”.
So Pina, Piera and Tonio Sgueglia, owners of the Castle of Rocca Cilento, in the province of Salerno, celebrate the award received in Dubai as the best structure in the international panorama for accessibility and inclusiveness.
The castle in the Salerno area on the Cilento coast was awarded by over 400 global wedding industry leaders, luxury event planners and elite exhibitors who gathered in Dubai for the 14th edition of the Exotic Wedding Planning Conference (EWPC), one of the most influential events in the luxury wedding industry in the world. At the event, industry professionals and wedding planners from around the world examined the most beautiful locations, exchanged ideas for better settings and awarded some prizes including the election of the Castello di Rocca Cilento award.
“Welcoming – the owners continue – in our Castles in Rocca Cilento and also Limatola, in the province of Benevento is our mission. Making beauty, history and quality accessible is what moves the passion of our family”. The Castle of Rocca Cilento is a charming residence housed in an ancient manor located in the hamlet of Lustra in the municipality of Salerno.
Nestled on the top of a hill overlooking a natural landscape of rare beauty, with a breathtaking view of the coastal arch that ranges from Capo Palinuro to Punta Campanella. A historic residence, born as a fortress in 1119, the Castle, redeveloped after careful restoration work by architect Stefano Sgueglia, preserves the charm of the past intact, in a contemporary design.
The squares and terraces, located at the highest point of the castle, offer ever-changing panoramic views, from the surrounding valleys overlooking hilltop villages, to the peaks of the hillsides all the way to the coast. Thanks to its setting and hospitality, the Castle has quickly become one of the most beautiful wedding locations in Italy with couples from all over the world, including, last August, the wedding of the two British stars Ed Westwick and Amy Jackson.
