A sudden collapse transformed the quiet afternoon of Easter Monday into total chaos in Castel Volturno.
A perimeter wall on a second-floor terrace of a small villa collapsed like a house of cards, injuring four people and leaving one in serious condition – a stark reminder of how neglected maintenance can be in certain areas.
The incident broke out around 16pm, with the wall suddenly collapsing while several people were sitting at a table in the garden below, turning a relaxing moment into an inferno of debris and screams.
No warning, just pure panic and people overwhelmed. Once on site, the firefighters threw themselves into the fray to extract and assist the injured, who were all quickly loaded onto 118 vehicles and transported to the hospital in Pineta Grande.
The day ended with more questions than answers about how to prevent these disasters.

This news is very worrying, it seems that there is a serious maintenance problem in the area. There should be more checks and inspections to prevent such accidents from happening again, it is a real shame.
