The company “Oplontis Theatre” of Torre Annunziata returns to pay homage to the great Eduardo De Filippo with an unmissable event at Supercinema of Castellammare di Stabia. On the famous stage of Castellammare, on May 17th and 18th, will come to life Dangerously e Friendship, two works taken respectively from The Cantata of Even Days e The cantata of odd days.
Directed by Leopold Hope, masterpieces full of gags and twists, belonging to the farcical production, will be performed, which will drag the audience into a powerful and impeccable fusion of humor and reflection, the traditional essence and unmistakable signature of Eduard's work.
Fresh from the huge success achieved during the holidays with “Christmas in the Cupiello household" – which filled the hall for three extraordinary evenings – the compagnia Oplontis Theatre will retrace the scene with all his energy and creativity.
The actors, strong in their talent and the affection of the public, will revive the theatrical tradition by combining professionalism, passion and that inexhaustible comedy that has always distinguished them and included them among the most appreciated and followed companies in the territory and not only in Campania.
The dynamics of the couple, together with the concepts of loyalty and mutual trust, are the core of the plots of the two one-act plays. Dangerously e Friendship.
In Dangerously, the marital conflict between Dorotea – a woman with a prickly character, not inclined to calm dialogue – and Arturo, a husband now resigned, translates into an absurd ritual: to calm and resolve any dispute, Arturo shoots his wife with a pistol loaded with blanks. An incredulous witness to this absurd dynamic is Michele, a friend of the couple, who has returned to the city after a long absence and is unaware of their strange habits.
In Friendship, Alberto Califano finds himself having to manage the continuous requests of his friend Bartolomeo Caccia, whom he met again after many years. The disease has made him infirm and has embittered his character. The alibi of the disease allows him to exercise a strong power over his friend and his sister, who are forced to satisfy his every demand. Also in this case, ironic and paradoxical situations intertwine, giving life to moments of pure fun and hilarity.
The cast is made up of a consolidated core led by the director and captivating interpreter Leopoldo Speranza, supported by the charismatic Stefania Lamberti, Roberto Nolano and Loretana Manna, an authentic inexhaustible resource of comedy and entertainment.
The technical staff makes use of the experience of Antonello De Simone for lights and audio as well as Francesca De Pascale for costumes, guaranteeing a fundamental contribution to the realization of the show.
