A Sunday of football, but also of tight controls throughout the city. On the occasion of the Napoli-Genoa match, the Local Police deployed a real army to ensure order and legality in a hot area like the one around the Diego Armando Maradona stadium. Sixty-seven officers were deployed in a vast operation that also involved several areas of the center and nightlife, with a clear objective: urban safety, fluid traffic and compliance with regulations.
Within the radius of the Maradona, the hunt for illegal parking attendants has led to 9 fines, with 5 reports for repeat offenders and the seizure of illicit proceeds. But the heaviest toll is the one related to traffic: 75 vehicles removed, including 12 motorcycles, while fines have been issued for violations of the Highway Code, from lack of insurance to illegal parking at bus stops and disabled parking spaces.
Targeted checks also took place in the Bosco di Capodimonte area, where the Stella Unit issued 24 fines and ordered 12 removals. The San Lorenzo Unit, on the other hand, focused its attention on the nightlife of the Fourth Municipality: in via Costantinopoli a venue was hit for lack of an acoustic permit, while in vico Polveriera a closure order was issued.
The crackdown also affected public establishments: in via Chiaia, via Ricciardi and corso Vittorio Emanuele, abuses of public land, unauthorized signs and lack of documentation for noise impact were ascertained. In via Ricciardi, the lack of surveillance requirements also emerged.
Finally, the irregular trade front: 80 bottles of beer and cans seized from unknown sellers, in addition to four cases of illegal sale of drinks without the necessary Scia. A blanket check that transformed a day of sports into a show of strength of the State in the heart of Naples.
