“FIRES OF PASSIONS: itineraries of memories, songs and revolutions” is the project curated by Baba Yaga theatre, in collaboration with Municipality 3 of the City of Naples, with the artistic direction of Rosalba Di Girolamo, as part of “May of monuments 2025”.
The event consists of three itineraries of guided tours culminating in performances dedicated to three specific themes and areas of Municipality 3 that will take place on 17 and 18 May 2025.
“In this edition – says Rosalba Di Girolamo, artistic director of the event – we worked, in close collaboration with the Third Municipality, with the shared goal of focusing attention on the people, places and structures that work in the territory on a daily basis in order to enhance its artistic, cultural and human heritage.”
“FIRES OF PASSIONS: itineraries of memories, songs and revolutions”, part of May of Monuments 2025, is a journey to discover places, stories, professions and people who embody that passionate soul of Naples that beats towards the future in continuity with the best part of history.
FUOCHI DI PASSIONI are the organizations that work tirelessly in the territory in order to make it better, from Sanitansamble that teaches life to the kids through music, to Casa Caruso, that keeps alive the memory of our most brilliant singer, to the artisans of the Antica Fonderia di Giacomo or of the Antro Acquaquiglia del Pozzaro that perpetuate ancient arts and crafts; to the artists that pay homage to artists that gave prestige to our city, to the associations of young people and volunteers, like the kids of the La Sorte community cooperative, that take care of and bring back to life spaces and places by telling their beauties to tourists and citizens;
FUOCHI PASSIONI are the songs, the music and the stories that will accompany these three journeys, from the hymns to joy played by many young people from different backgrounds, to the embodied voices of Cerasuolo and other passionate women, to the work songs told in the Giacomo Foundry, to the ardent pieces by Caruso played in his native church.
