The event “I Volenterosi della Cultura” (The Volunteers of Culture) took place yesterday at the Ubik bookshop in Benevento. It is a highly symbolic event organized by the students of class 5IA of the “Lucarelli” Technical Industrial Institute. The students, winners of the first national prize in the “Costruire la Fiducia” competition with the Civitas Meet project, have decided to invest the prize money – 500 euros – to buy books for figures and organizations involved in the dissemination of culture in Sannio.

A gesture that sows trust
Books donated to those who promote culture in the area every day
The donation went beyond the simple material value. The students made a true act of trust towards a network of "volunteers" - citizens, organizations, associations and institutions - who work every day to build a more aware, inclusive and innovative Sannio. The initiative is part of the vision of Sannio Valley, which promotes sustainable development through culture, technology and social cohesion.
Readings for the future
Artificial intelligence, ethics and technology are the themes chosen for the donated volumes
The selected books touch on current and crucial themes such as artificial intelligence, technology and humanistic ethics. Volumes designed to fuel debate and stimulate critical thinking in local educational, cultural and entrepreneurial contexts. The symbolic delivery took place in front of an audience representative of the vital fabric of the territory.

Knowledge that generates change
The message of the event: culture is a good to be shared
“Culture is not only a heritage to be preserved, but a good to be multiplied”: this is the message launched by the event. Professor Carlo Mazzone, a lecturer at Lucarelli and moderator of the meeting, underlined the transformative value of knowledge: “Because shared knowledge is the true engine of change. And because we deeply love life, culture and our splendid territory.”
