Naples – The extraordinary services arranged by the Police Headquarters of Naples to combat drug trafficking and illegal possession of weapons. In the last twenty-four hours, the State Police has made three important arrests, unmasking as many pushers with specific precedents.
Blitz of the General Prevention Office: Transfers in Via Santa Maria delle Grazie and Piazza San Francesco di Paola
The first to end up in handcuffs, yesterday morning, was a 55-year-old Tunisian. The officers of the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid, during a patrol in via Santa Maria delle Grazie in Loreto, noticed him as he was about to sell something to a buyer. The police intervened promptly, stopping the man and finding him in possession of 3 packages of cocaine and 270 euros in cash, believed to be the proceeds of the illegal activity.
Shortly after, the same officers from the General Prevention Office, passing through Piazza San Francesco di Paola, noticed a 33-year-old Nigerian who, in exchange for a banknote, was giving away something by taking it from his cell phone.
At the sight of the operators, the pusher attempted a reckless escape, engaging in a fight with the officers. With no small difficulty, he was stopped and found in possession of 4 packages of cocaine/crack, cunningly hidden in the battery compartment of his cell phone. He was also arrested for assault and resisting a Public Official.
Also in Vicaria-Mercato an Arrest with Brawl
Finally, yesterday evening, the officers of the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station, during the operations arranged in the area of Vico Santa Caterina a Formiello, noticed a 36-year-old Neapolitan who was giving a dose of drugs to a person by taking it directly from the oral cavity.
The officers intervened immediately, blocking both the buyer - who was administratively fined after being found in possession of a dose of cocaine/crack - and the pusher. The latter, at the sight of the operators, attempted to flee, but was stopped not without difficulty.
5 packages of cocaine/crack and 140 euros in cash were found on him. The 36-year-old, who also has a criminal record, was arrested for illegal possession of narcotics and resisting a public official.
All three suspects were arrested and placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authorities.
