Castellammare di Stabia – A joint operation by law enforcement is underway in Castellammare di Stabia, where four municipal-owned properties in via Brin n. 99, illegally occupied by as many families, have been evicted.

The preventive seizure orders were issued by the GIP of the Court of Torre Annunziata at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, for the crime of invasion of public property lands or buildings (articles 633 and 639-bis of the Criminal Code).
Decades of illegal occupation and failed regularization attempts
The investigations revealed that the illegal occupations had been going on for years: in one case since 2013, while in the others since 2022. All the occupations were without any legitimizing title. The requests for regularization, where presented, had been rejected because the occupations were considered insusceptible to regularization.
The eviction was necessary as the only way to give concrete and effective execution to the preventive seizure. The objective is twofold: to put an end to the permanence of the crime and to allow the assignment of the real estate units to the entitled subjects, pending a municipal ranking that allows the legitimate assignment.
Law enforcement in action and properties made inaccessible
The clearing operations, still in the process of being completed, are being conducted by the Police Station Police of the State of Castellammare di Stabia, with the support of the Carabinieri, the Guardia di Finanza and the local Municipal Police.
At the moment, all four seized real estate units have been released by the households that occupied them. For two of them, the eviction is already definitive and the properties have been made inaccessible to prevent further illegal occupations. For the remaining two, the operations to clear the furnishings are still ongoing.
At the end of the operations, all the vacated properties will be entrusted to the judicial custody of the Municipality of Castellammare di Stabia, which will then be able to proceed with the regular assignments.
