Antonio Conte is not just a coach, he is a vision. And it is precisely from here that the next episode of “Federico Buffa Talks” begins, broadcast on Sky Sport, dedicated to a character who has made victory an all-encompassing mission. The title says it all: “The man called Scudetto”.
Starting from the book Give everything, ask for everything, co-written with Mauro Berruto, Buffa and Conte build a journey through words and images that digs deep into the essence of those who lead a group not only with diagrams and blackboards, but above all with mentality, hunger, pain and obsession. Conte is the coach who has won everywhere he has gone: three scudetti with Juventus, one with Inter, the last with Napoli; and then the Premier League and FA Cup with Chelsea. But more than the trophies, it is the behind-the-scenes and reflections that give weight to the story.
Airing on June 13 and 20, the two episodes retrace his career, the successes, but also the dark moments. "The first question to ask someone who wants to coach is: what are you willing to lose?" says Conte, who doesn't even give himself any discounts. For him, victory is not a joy: it's relief. It's the only medicine against the pain of all the defeats, of all the sacrifices.
In the dialogue with Buffa there is also space for current events: the relationship with Napoli, the confrontation with De Laurentiis at the end of the season, but also some confessions about Juventus that could change the perception of his farewell. It is a Tale unpublished, lucid and sharp as always, which shows the beating heart of a man who made the bench a battlefield. And who never stopped fighting.
