The Marracash concert at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, which attracted around 34 thousand fans on the evening of June 11, also became an important test for the Naples Local Police, engaged in an impressive security device. The goal: to guarantee public order, legality and a regular progress of the event in the heart of Fuorigrotta.
A total of 57 officers, coordinated by two officials, patrolled the area around the stadium, concentrating their efforts especially along Viale Giochi del Mediterraneo and the surrounding streets. The operation led to the seizure of approximately 230 cans of beer and beverages, sold illegally in prohibited containers. Also under scrutiny were street vendors and illegal parking attendants, with eight individuals stopped, reported and fined.
Traffic also required special attention: 75 vehicles were removed for illegal parking, including seven motorcycles, and numerous violations were recorded in areas closed to traffic or along reserved lanes. The evening ended with 90 fines issued for violations of Highway Code, from failure to have a vehicle inspected to parking in a wild car, including driving while using a cell phone and not wearing a seat belt.
