Salvatore Ferraiuolo, accused of the murder of his ex-partner Anna Scala, which occurred on August 17, 2023 in Piano di Sorrento, in the province of Naples, was sentenced to life imprisonment.
The Court of Assizes of Naples (first section) decided this, fully accepting the request of the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, represented by the public prosecutor Ugo Spagna.
According to what emerged during the trial, Ferraiuolo he stabbed the woman at least 17 times, and then hid her body inside the victim's car. During the trial, the defendant changed his version of events several times, but this did not convince the judges, who opted for the maximum sentence.
Anna Scala's daughter, Maria Svato, was present in the courtroom when the ruling was read, accompanied by the civil party's lawyer Salvatore Esposito. Ferraiuolo watched impassively as the sentence was pronounced. The reasons for the conviction will be filed within 90 days.
