Gragnano – The Gragnano summer opens with an unmissable event for food lovers: from June 22 to 24, the Panuozzo Festival returns, an event that celebrates one of the symbols of the local culinary tradition.

Eleven wood-fired ovens set up in via Quarantola will offer visitors the authentic Panuozzo di Gragnano, available in the classic version (with bacon and mozzarella) and in special variations, each offered by a different producer.
To accompany the tasting, street artists, DJ sets, workshops for children and an inclusive space dedicated to people with disabilities.
“Gragnano, the capital of food and wine”
The event, sponsored by the City of Gragnano and the Campania Region, is just the latest step in a journey to enhance local excellence. "The numbers speak for themselves: Gragnano is increasingly a center of attraction for young people and those seeking quality," emphasizes Mayor Nello D'Auria, recalling the special dedication to Gianni Rossetti, creator of the first Festa del Panuozzo years' 90.
Towards the PGI brand
Ciro Minopoli, president of the Panuozzo Producers Association of Gragnano, relaunches the goal of expanding the fame of the product beyond local borders, aiming for IGP recognition to protect its origin and production specifications. «We have already presented our panuozzo at the TuttoPizza Fair, at the stand of the Campania Region – explains Minopoli – An important step to make Gragnano known internationally».
The protagonist pizzerias
To delight your palate there will be specialties from the city's historic pizzerias and panuozzerie: Mascolo 1982, Mascolo 1995, Pascarlì, Il Tris, La Valle dei Mulini, 'O Presidente, Il Tempio, Luigi 'o furnar, MalaInGrano and Ciccio 'o ciccione.
A weekend dedicated to taste, but also to tradition and innovation, to confirm Gragnano as the capital of panuozzo. The complete program will be revealed in the coming days.
