Rome. “From these two days of conference work we expect a discussion on the new challenges and opportunities that physiotherapy can assume as a primary interlocutor for some lines of rehabilitation activities and as an opportunity for growth for our profession”.
The President of the Order of Physiotherapists of Lazio, Annamaria Servadio, stated this to the Dire agency, on the sidelines of the second regional congress of OFI Lazio entitled 'Vision, Synergies, Perspectives and Innovation of Physiotherapy for the care of the person'. The event is underway in Roma until tomorrow at Spazio Field.
After the opening of the works by the President of OFI Lazio and the institutions, space for the first session entitled 'Perspectives and innovation of physiotherapy in Lazio: a look at the public system', during which we will talk about the need to define organizational standards and needs for physiotherapy in acute hospitals, the role of multidisciplinarity in rehabilitation paths, physiotherapy of initiative and proximity in the province of Lazio, development models of physiotherapy in accredited healthcare.
Physiotherapy in proximity networks' is the title of the first part of the second session of the OFI Lazio congress: the focus of the work is the reorganization of primary care and physiotherapy, with the point of view of general practitioners, and physiotherapy in all places of care, from home care to the chronic disease clinic.
The Round Table entitled 'Proximity Physiotherapy in Socio-Health Integration' will lead participants to the second part of the second session, during which Physiotherapy in hybrid systems and Telerehabilitation will be discussed, the technology at the service of Physiotherapists and Patients.
The first day of the OFI Lazio congress 'Vision, Synergies, Perspectives and Innovation of Physiotherapy for Personal Care' will conclude with the other Round Table 'Proximity Physiotherapy between public protection interventions and market dynamics'.
Tomorrow, the second and final day of the conference. It begins with the third session, entitled 'Physiotherapy research as a key tool for the development of the profession': the spotlight is on 'Innovative technologies and objective measures in rehabilitation', 'Performance measurement and return to sport', 'The use of ultrasound in physiotherapy', 'The use of technology in physiotherapy'.
The fourth and final session, 'Profiles of liability in professional practice: quantification of damage', will bring down the curtain on the congress of the Order of Physiotherapists of Lazio. Participants will turn the spotlight on numerous and interesting topics: from the quantification of future expenses in the medical-legal visit to the functional physiotherapy evaluation in the quantification of future expenses after biological damage, from professional liability for the Physiotherapist to insurance aspects and claims settlement. At the end of the OFI Lazio congress, the 3 best posters will also be awarded.
