Napoli – They used a shipping center in the province to send doses of ketamine hidden in packages of pasta and flour all over the world.
A detailed investigation by the Provincial Command of the Finance Guard of Naples led to the seizure of over 100 kg. of ketamine, contained in some packages headed to Los Angeles, hidden in packages of typical Made in Italy culinary products.
The operation was carried out by the military of the Frattamaggiore Group who, during a territorial control, carried out a search at a logistics hub identifying, among the packages present, some shipments that, due to the destination and value of the declared goods, were suspicious.
With the help of canine units, the contents of the packages were examined and the suspicions turned out to be true, given that the sealed foodstuffs of pasta and flour contained numerous cellophane packages with a narcotic substance, classified, by subsequent laboratory analyses, as ketamine.
Ketamine is used to package pink cocaine
The seized narcotic, if placed on the international market, would have brought in several million euros to the criminals.
Ketamine, in fact, is often used as a mixture to form the “pink cocaine”, known today as the “rich man’s drug” because it sells for up to 400 euros per gram. Its appeal among the new generations and its lethal mix of hallucinogenic effects make it a social threat of enormous proportions, fueling a rapidly expanding illegal market.
Now the investigations continue to trace the suppliers and where the drugs come from but above all to establish which Camorra clans manage the market.
